Peace in the Middle East?

Why has peace been so Elusive over the past 100 years?

At the turn of the 20th Century, the world was awoken by a War which destroyed millions of lives and reshaped the old world. Whilst History talks about the World War I in terms of Europe, many historians forget that the essence of the problems in the Middle started from that War.

For centuries the Turks had been knocking on the doors of Europe with there armies and for Centuries Europe was working away at the rotting empire. The Turks, were in eccense there own enmy as they not only earnt the hatred of the Europeans but also of the peoples that they presided over (ie the Middle East).

After WWI the British and the French not only isolated and humiliated Germany (leading directly to WWII, but they carved up the former Turkish Empire into Countries which had no existence and installed puppet governments and proxies to maintain their hold on the lands. It is with this division of the Arabs
