A funny story about how some men try to impress “their” women
Ladies, this is funny!
I am a woman and would like to share with you all a funny story that has happened recently. For women reading this I'm sure you may have experienced some of the bullshit guys can come up with to impress women.
I have an ex-boyfriend, very nice guy, but sometimes his good nature leaves him open to being taken advantage of. He's a very smart guy but sometimes soooo dumb at the same time. He's struggled pretty hard to get things going and make his mark in life but has yet to fully achieve his goals. Recently he told me about how he just landed a new job doing with a company owned by some royalty. He was to be paid US$1mil with a Ferrari company car. Something already didn't sound right to me but i didn't want to judge and burst his bubble.
As i mentioned he is my ex and he told me about his new found fortune in the hopes of impressing me and showing me that he was a good catch and should consider going back to him. Two weeks later he invited me to join in meeting with him and his new employer. I was there for a short while and just took in what was going on around me and came to the conclusion that something was definitely not right! My ex was supposedly being employed to be a consultant for this royalty's airways, oil & gas and construction company and received a cheque payment for $132,000 for two weeks work.
This royalty had a girlfriend and promised her the sun, moon and stars. Obviously her being a physically attractive woman. He bought her a $6mil house (in cash), luxury car, diamonds and even brought designers from Thailand and paid them $1.3mil for their services to fully furnish the house. The whole happy gang then went to Thailand to by $4mil worth of furniture.
When the happy gang returned the shit hit the fan! Cheques started to bounce and the royalty's body guards decide to bounce him. They too didn't get paid. His body guards beat him up and took him to the police. Turns out that he wasn't even a royalty! Now he's in jail and being sued by banks for issuing fraudulent cheques. The whole thing was a bullshit con just to impress a woman! The moral of the story is it's nice and flattering to have guys interested in you but read through the lines for lines of bullshit!
In the end I guess the girlfriend and I are duly impressed by both these men's stupidity...
I agree and disagree with you, Stevo. Agree in relation to the "Bird" as you call her, as I have very little if no compassion towards what possible emotional turbulence she might have gone through and how she was coned to believe what she wanted to believe. I guess superficiality is not one of my virtues as I understand not yours either. But I am rather hesitant to praise a guy for being a "Man" as I find very little manliness in impressing people you don't know with money you don't have. And to me it does not matter what the reasons are or might be...the man is just stupid and shallow. Although it is one of the funniest things I've experienced in my colourful life. Nevertheless thanks for your feedback, I appreciated it.
Wow no wayyy... well you gotto give the guy a break he may be stupid to a certin extent but im sure in his heart of hearts he wouldnt have wanted to see you hurt or dissapointed, men sometimes do crapy things to impress women because women ...most of the time crave it...So in saying that i didnt mean you of course cause i dont know you but never the less dont you reckon if the women was down to earth and respected him mostly for who he is and not for the money that he Might not have tried soo hard to impress her??? i reckon in this situation the blame should go to the Bird and the guy,
not all the time its the guys fault.. he's greatest fault was trying to impress a girl with money which was not his..well ok thats stupid but you gotto appreciated his desire to fullfill the womans wants and needs.. so in all fairness he is a Man, but not a very smart one..
