Don't close the road
by totful     Wednesday, 28.05.2008 10:36

What I think about the road blockage at Cheras

I thought... Isn't it sad that a big corporation who only cares about raking big profits would resort to unscrupulous ways, such as putting huge boulders to block the road, so that road users would have to use the highway? And they even hire 'gangsters' to guard the boulders so the residents would not remove it. To make things worse, these 'gangsters' even started a fight and injured many innocent residents and by-passers. What rights do they have to do this? And what rights do the corporation have to build boulders to block the road. The road already exists, for God's sake. Leave it alone! This makes me wonder if they would want to close the road that leads to Phileo Damansara (unless for people who genuinely want to go into Phileo Damansara would have to actually go into the parking of Phileo Damansara)? Isn't it time our goverment step and and do something about this 'dispute'?

The big problem is that the malaysian government are the biggest gangsters in the country. they don't give a toss about what the people think. When you have a government that behave like this it filters down throught all levels of society. Big business in this country is no different. Especially any road concessionare, they all most ministers or family members of ministers involved in them. Look at jalan damansara, that the biggest joke and example of corruption here as far as roads go. Is it any different now than before thay put the toll on it? Did they actually do anything to it to make it better to justify paying 1 ringgit? NO! In the end the average malaysian gets screwed as always and if you say anything you get thrown in ISA.
